Vehicle Packs and Add-On Models

Vehicle packs add models to the world as add-ons rather than replacements. The questions worth asking are the same for every pack: what the spawn names are, whether handling is included, and what the pack costs you in streamed assets.

Add-on, not replacement

An add-on vehicle sits alongside the base game's models and gets its own spawn
name. A replacement overwrites a stock vehicle instead. Both approaches exist, and
which one a pack uses decides whether your existing dealership, garage and job
configs need editing.

Check these before you add a pack

  • Spawn names. You need them for dealerships, garages, job vehicles and admin
  • tooling. A pack that does not document them creates work later.
  • Handling. Whether handling data is included, and whether it is tuned or left
  • at a default, changes how the vehicle drives and whether it feels out of place.
  • Liveries and extras. Emergency and job vehicles in particular live or die on
  • their livery support. Preview media is the fastest way to judge this.
  • Streamed size. Large packs are a meaningful download for every player who
  • joins. This is a real cost on a busy server, not a rounding error.
  • LODs. Models without proper detail levels are a performance problem that only
  • appears when several are on screen at once.

Vehicles and the systems that use them

A pack gives you the models. Dealerships, garages, keys and job assignment are
scripts, and you configure them with the spawn names the pack provides. Filter the
catalogue by QBCore, ESX or
Qbox to find those, or see the
readymade builds where both sides arrive configured.

Frequently asked questions

Are these add-on vehicles or replacements?

It varies by pack, and the listing states which. Add-ons get their own spawn names and leave stock vehicles alone; replacements overwrite an existing model. The difference decides whether your dealership and garage configs need editing.

Where do I find the spawn names?

In the pack's own documentation. You need them to configure dealerships, garages, job vehicles and admin tools, so it is worth confirming they are documented before you buy.

Is handling included?

Usually, but not always tuned. The listing says what ships with the pack. A model without considered handling data will drive like whatever default it inherited.

Do vehicle packs depend on my framework?

The models do not. The scripts you use them with — dealerships, garages, keys — do, and those are configured with the pack's spawn names.

How much do large packs cost in performance?

Every streamed vehicle is a download for joining players and memory once loaded. A large pack is a real consideration on a busy server, and models without proper detail levels compound it when several are on screen.
