Government roleplay usually has nowhere to happen. Councils meet in Discord, licences get issued over a text command, and an election is an announcement rather than an event.

Civic roleplay north of the city

A city hall gives all of that a room, and siting it in Paleto Bay rather than downtown is the better call for most servers. Blaine County already has its own sheriff's office and its own politics; a civic building makes the north somewhere people travel to on purpose, instead of a stretch of road between two jobs.

The kind of scene it carries

The building is built for the formal end of civic life — issuing permits and licences, hearings, council sessions, a swearing-in, a press conference after something has gone badly wrong. Those scenes only land if the setting looks official, which is the one thing a purpose-built civic interior does and a borrowed back office never will. It doubles as a venue for staff-run in-character events that would otherwise end up in a police station.

Small footprint

The architecture is custom-built rather than a reskin of an existing shell, and it stays deliberately small on disk. Full LODs keep it drawing cleanly at distance, and audio occlusion stops a conversation in one room leaking into the next — which matters more here than in most interiors, because nearly everything that happens in this building is people talking.

Installation

  1. Move the interior's resource folder into resources on your server.
  2. Add an ensure line to server.cfg so the map assets stream at start-up.
  3. Restart, then walk the building: check it draws cleanly from the road and that audio occlusion holds between rooms, since most of what happens here is people talking.
  4. Place your own permit desks, hearing points and council seating from inside the finished rooms.

Framework Compatibility

Map assets only, with no framework code inside, so ESX, QBCore and Qbox servers install it the same way. Licence systems, elections and event tooling stay in whatever resources already provide them.

    • Locate any SQL, configuration examples, permissions, or optional integrations.
    • Check whether the documentation requires a specific start order.

Ready when Every dependency and required file has a place in your install plan.

  2. Create a rollback point

Prepare the server so the change can be reversed cleanly if the resource conflicts with your current stack.

    • Keep an untouched copy of the downloaded package.
    • Back up the database and every configuration file you will edit.
    • Use a test server or schedule a maintenance window before changing production.

Ready when You can restore the previous database, files, and configuration.

  3. Install in the documented order

Apply only the changes supplied for this resource, keeping dependency and startup order intact.

    • Place the resource folder where your server loads resources, without renaming it unless instructed.
    • Install dependencies first, then import included SQL once and review configuration values.
    • Add the documented resource name to the server startup configuration after its dependencies.

Ready when The resource starts without missing files, exports, tables, or dependencies.

  4. Verify the complete player flow

Restart the test server, watch both server and client consoles, and exercise the resource before opening it to players.

    • Visit the full area and check loading, collision, doors, props, and lighting.
    • Check for overlapping map resources, IPL conflicts, or missing streamed assets.
    • Review console output again before promoting the same configuration to production.

Complete when The intended flow works twice with no new console errors.
